HNT - Archive

It's archive time! With the injury it is difficult to take shots of myself that actually look good. So for now I hope you will enjoy some pictures from the past and from my archive.

Hope everyone had a great St. Patricks Day. Unfortunately I didn't celebrate this year, or really any year. Maybe one day I will actually take time off of work and enjoy the parade and then a beer. Maybe next year:)

Until then please enjoy some of my older pictures!

Happy HNT

HOUSE

The other night on HOUSE, I had to laugh because they were making fun of bloggers. The content of the show was this girl, who was a blogger freak, and because vary ill. At one point in the show she had to decide if she wanted a mechanical heart valve or a pig heart valve (by the way she claimed to be some type of animal rights activist).

And of course, she decides to turn her decision to her blogger readers, her "friends". People that she has never met she is leaving a decision like this up to strangers. I just laughed at myself and started to wonder what has this world come to.

Are we all really turning to the cyber world to feel that connection? Are our children loosing the need for physical, live social interaction? I notice many of them come home from school, do their home work (at least that is how I hope it is) and then they turn on the TV and turn on Facebook, twitter and ...yes...even blogger to "chat" with "friends".

I've noticed the next generation seems to be very tech savvy and confines themselves to the computer to feel connected. Even I've fallen into this trap. Facebook and Blogger was my social network, until recently when I invited a large amount of "friends" to my house only to have about 4 show up.

What is up with everyone? Maybe my type of people is becoming extinct? Maybe the social butterfly is dieing out.

I don't know about you but I want to physically be around people. I want to meet up, talk and actually see the person I'm communicating with. But with all the "social" networks out there people are more tied to their computer and blackberry's than they are in actually being with people.

Is our next couple of generations going to be socially ignorant? Not really knowing how to handle people, feeling, and conflict?
